The correct way to remove your Gelpolish at home (without damage)

Removing Gelpolish at home can feel a bit scary, especially if you’ve ever picked it off (we’ve all been there). But if you do it the right way, your nails stay healthy and strong: no damage, no stress. Here’s exactly how to safely remove your gel polish at home, step by step.

Step 1: Gently file the top layer

Start by lightly filing and buffing the Topcoat off your nails. You don’t want to fully remove the color, just break the shiny top layer so the remover can actually do its job. Be gentle here. No aggressive filing, your natural nails will thank you later.

Step 2: Soak your nails

Soak your Nail Foils with Gelpolish Remover and wrap them around each nail. This is where the magic happens... the remover will start breaking down the gel polish so it loosens from your nails.

Step 3: Wait (don’t rush this)

Leave the foils on for about 15 minutes. I know it’s tempting to check early, but trust the process. The longer you let it sit, the easier it comes off (and the less damage you’ll cause).

Step 4: Gently remove the Gelpolish

Take off the foils and use a Cuticle Pusher to softly push off the Gelpolish. If it doesn’t come off easily, don’t force it. Just rewrap and wait a little longer. Forcing it = damaged nails, and we don’t want that.

Step 5: Finish and care for your nails

Once everything is removed, lightly buff your nails to smooth them out. Finish with cuticle oil to hydrate your nails and give them that healthy, glossy look again.
